Living in a Shipping Container in Hawaii!

Off-Grid Tiny Home & Permaculture Forest

My friends Michael and Paulina are living off-grid in a converted tiny house shipping container in Hawaii. They’re creating a permaculture forest by planting fruit trees on their land on the Big Island. They’re also using a compost toilet, solar panel, and rain water catchments.

I got to spend some time with them and even stayed in the shipping container, where I had a great sleep (I’d been sooo tired!) and listened to coqui frogs at night :)
